Anyone have opinions on Mugler Cologne or Gendarme?

Both are supposed to be light summer fragrances. Both get good reviews.

I am thinking they could be good summer pheromone covers but I do not have them and have not seen a place locally that carries either.

I plan to be using a lot of Overdose and SXD-9 this summer.

Any thoughts?

Intense.

Skip Mugler Cologne and go straight for Creed's Original Vetiver - these two are somewhat similar, but Mugler Cologne is poorly executed in comparison, lacking most of all in the drydown department.

Thanks.

I'm sure the Creed is great but a little beyond my wallet.

Ahh, those damn budgetary considerations. Have you considered a decant? It makes the price not hurt quite so much and helps you decide if a scent is worth saving up for.

I am not sure the decant would make sense for me either.

I can get 10 oz of Mugler for about $70 and a 10 oz bottle of Gendarme for $137.

I guess I'd like something that most people around me are not wearing that is a pretty decent light scent that I can wear daily throughout the summer and not have to worry much about conserving.

Both of these seem to be pretty well reviewed. I might start with a 3.4 oz tester of Mugler that I can get on ebay for about $37.

Leaves more money for what really matters: Pheromones.

Do you mean I should buy the decant of Original Vetiver or buy the Thirrry Mugler Cologne tester?

I am also really intrigued by the Gendarme. Supposedly it is the fragrance of choice for many in Hollywood, so it likely has something going for it.

I'd go for cost effective which is the mugler. Creed of course has a better quality but you'll live and it'll accomplish what you need it to.

Yeah, that is what I am figuring. The smaller Mugler should be fine for the summer and to decide if I want to make it a main wear beyond that. I am really hoping for something as a daily work scent to cover some of the LAL gels and smell good but fairly light and clean. It also has a rep for being liked by the ladies.

I am still pretty intrigued by the Gendarme. Need to search out some samples of that.
