I think this word is being overused and mis-used, gives me a headache sometimes, is there anyway people can describe the state without using the word alpha, or congruance, for that matter the words normal used everywhere to describe that state?

It feels like this overuse is turning into some kind of pseudo-religion/cult.

Self-confidence, Boldness, Inner-Strength, Positive Self Image, Dauntlessness, Self Fortitude, etc.

Oh don't get me wrong. I hate the world "Alpha" and the connotation that is carried along with it. Some people view the word as a title to describe someone they idolize and others think of a narcissistic egomaniac. Words have different meaning to everyone.

I don't like to argue with people about it on these boards cause people may see it as a reflection of how I view myself, or for a lack of a better way of saying it: I don't want to sound like a hater .

My father told me multiple times, "If you can't be the best, learn from the best". I should had taken his advice much sooner than being stubborn and go rogue.

That's just the feminists messing with your head.

Many people have in inborn and irrational fear of things which are higher on the food chain than themselves.
Over the last 100 or so years there has been substantial societal pushback against the idea of one person having natural dominance.

Nowadays EVERYONE is EQUAL.
I assure you this is not the case and this line of thinking can only lead you to nihilistic mediocrity.

Look up the Finnish word "Sisu" and expand you mind. I've included links to some of the better definitions of an undefinable personal quality.

here is my definition.
" Sisu, A Finnish word meaning indominable will, stamina, stubbornness, internal fortitude, determination and will to strive against all odds to succeed or survive. "




A modern example would be the statement made by the Star Wars character Yoda " Try not. Do or do not. There is no try."

I'll follow this up with Yoda's excellent advice for betas and omegas.
" If no mistake you have made, yet losing you are... a different game you should play."

John, you do make a good point and I agree with some of what you're saying.

Whether you're what society considers Alpha, Beta or Omega, assuming you live in a first world country, you'll have plenty of opportunities to be a better person tomorrow than what you're today.

I just wanted to point out to Sunny is that instead of being focused on the labels, just take observation of who is doing well in life and learn from them. You never know what struggles that person had to go through to reach where they are today.
